False: Dr.Killed on Entebbe Express Highway

Reports circulating on the social media, alleging that a US based medical doctor who is on holiday in Ugandan had been shot and killed while driving on Entebbe Express Highway are false and misleading

Very sad news!!!
In the last few minutes, Dr Gilbert Walwema was shot by unknown assailants on the Entebbe Expressway about 8pm local time after arriving in Uganda with his family from Boston Massachusetts to celebrate Christmas . He was taken to Case clinic where despite every effort he couldn’t make it ! May he RIP

Reality Check Uganda has verified from the Ugandan police that no such incident occurred on Entebbe express highway. The police only registered an accident involving three motor vehicles where the occupants survived with minor injuries.

Our conclusion is that the report is false and misleading.
