Namirembe Hillside High School Gayaza Closed over Fire Outbreak
Students of Namirembe Hillside High School in Kitetika, Gayaza, have been sent home following a second fire outbreak at the school.
The school administration this morning resolved to close the school and send all the students home till end of second term. They are to report back on 26th September 2019 when the school opens for third term.
This is the second fire outbreak in the school. Students were last week left in tears after a fire burnt a boys’ dormitory, destroying property worth millions of shillings.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
In both cases police fire brigade responded quickly and was able to contain the fire from spreading to other blocks.
